Google

I am a Google addict. I love Google! I will and do google any and everything! My friends even call me to google things for them lol. Sometimes it can be scary though. It seems when you google injuries or pains the worst things come up first. Some people think I'm crazy but you can get alot of good information from googling. Now twitter that's another story! I haven't really caught on to twitter yet.

We're doin the potty dance!!

For the past 2 months we have been working with our 2 year old on potty training. Being we have two older kids we thought we would breeze through it like pros. Well that is not how it has been! This child has hated the potty since the day I brought it home. No go pee pee in potty has been repeated over and over from him. I had read online that a good way to potty train is to let the child run around the house with no diaper on. Well being we just got new carpet installed ( I know what was I thinking new carpet with a toddler!) I didn't want to try this way. Everyday had been a battle and I felt I tried everything. So Yesterday I knew we would be stuck at home all day due to the weather I thought I would give the no diaper route a try. I told him he would not be wearing a diaper and I told him that I would leave the bathroom door open so that if he need to go then he could go. He didn't get it right off the bat but he did know to go in there he just peed the whole way there so by the time he actually made it the potty there was no pee left lol. It got better as the day went on. Today has been interesting! I let him run around with no bottom again. I was in the kitchen washing dishes and he came running to me saying sorry mama, sorry mama so I asked him what he was sorry about he said I got a poop ball on the carpet! I quickly ran him to the potty where he finished his business and afterward asked if we could do the potty dance of course we can. We can potty dance all day long if it get him to go in the potty. A side note my daughter has now changed her mind about getting a puppy.

Severe Weather

Our area is in a tornado watch for tonight and tomorrow. I hate storms. I know there isn't much I can do but I have an uncontrollable fear of tornadoes! Is there a way to overcome this kind of fear? Well I'm logging off now so I can unplug all the electronics don't want to risk my stuff getting struck by lighting! At least tonight I have a reasonable excuse for not sleeping!

Stores selling expired food!

Yuck! I just saw on the news that a store in California is selling expired food some of which expired 15 years ago! They said this is not against the law so make sure you always check those expiration dates! I just always thought there were laws against it to keep people safe. I think there should be laws or rules to keep stores from selling expired food. What do you think?

My First Post!

Hello blogger world!! I want to write this blog to help relieve stress and do something creative during my nightly battles with insomnia. (Hence the title of my blog) I also hope to meet new people out here in the big world wide web. I want to write about life in general the good and the not so good days and maybe even get some advice from others on how to manage it all. I am married with 3 kids so I could use advice in all areas lol. Thanks for reading!
